The new season has started and we are looking forward to our Raw Matters Special on September the 20th. This evening was created together with Mzamo Nondlwana, Betül Seyma Küpeli and Stephanie Misa and aims to reflect on the trouble of the notions of appropriation and inheritance, while questioning the “neutrality” of white bodies in dance and the harm this assertion causes. The three artists will guide us though the evening with Jakkalkos, next to works by Bita Bell and Shirin Farshbafwho are examining the issue of the "white saviour complex" in Forbidden Paths, Vishnu Vardhani Rajan presenting To Rummage in Raw Matters a performance that uses spoken word and stand up comedy to share explosive truths from the Orient and Denise Palmieri whose performance Bruha (Bruja) dialogues with our capability to share and receive information and wisdom.
